Success Through Referrals

Create a Mastermind Group to Reach Success

There are many times when one is in business for themselves that they can feel alone.  We can feel like we are all by ourselves when it comes to figuring out how to improve our business and increase our sales.   This is why I feel it is vital to our success that we develop a “Mastermind Group” where we can collaborate with others and help each other not only learn new ideas, but also to keep one another motivated and driven.

Who should make up this Mastermind Group?  That depends on what you are personally looking to get out of it.

I belong to two of these types of groups.

One is industry based for my franchises of BNI.  This group consists of other franchise owners who I have tremendous respect for and we discuss ideas, strategies, and motivation to help each make our individual franchises as strong as possible.

I also joined a group made up of business owners from a variety of industries to discuss general business topics where even though our business are in different fields, are different sizes, and have different budgets, we can share ideas and experiences.  This group also focuses on accountability to one another to implement the ideas we discuss in our meetings.

I believe both of these groups offer tremendous value to me as a business owner.  It allows me to focus on my business from the outside in, and break away from being stuck always working just IN the business.  In this BLOG POST I discuss my analogy for small business owners, and I believe that developing these Mastermind Groups helps me avoid this problem.

Do you have a Mastermind Group around you?

When you are a member of Success Through Referrals® you gain access to our forums where we help each other in the same ways these groups do.  We focus on helping each other gain more referrals, and discuss strategies and ideas to improve our word-of-mouth marketing skills.  These forums are extremely valuable, but do not replace the face to face Mastermind Groups.

If you are looking to start a group I suggest working with a professional who can help your group remain focused and accountable.  Personally I recommend you checkout the Entrepreneurial Excellence Business Forum.  You can get more information at www.eebusinessforum.com.

Collaboration is vital to our success.  It is important to learn from others, and share our ideas and experiences.  Mastermind Groups are a valuable form of networking, where can gain even more than referrals.
